What are Carrion cases made from?
An aerospace-grade aluminium shell, stamped, formed and anodised rather than moulded. Precision manufacturing is what lets the panels hold a tight, consistent line and keeps the shell rigid without adding bulk, which is the difference you feel when a full case is lifted into an overhead locker.
Do the cases have zips?
No. Every Carrion case is zipperless. The shell closes on a dual-combination TSA-approved locking system, so there is no zip to split, snag or force open — which is the single most common way a hard case fails in transit.
What does the Lifetime Warranty cover?
Faults in materials and workmanship, for the lifetime of the case, on every case in the range. Register a case after purchase to activate its cover. Full terms are on the policies page.
What is the difference between the Pathfinder and the Voyager?
The Pathfinder is Carrion's flagship case. The Voyager sits alongside it with a wider choice of colourways. Both are made in a range of sizes and share the same aerospace-grade aluminium shell, the same zipperless locking system and the same Lifetime Warranty, so the choice between them comes down to the colour you want and the size you need.
Which size should I choose?
Carry-On cases are cabin-sized, though airline allowances vary, so check yours before you fly. Medium Checked is the week-away size, giving checked capacity without the bulk. Large Checked is the long-haul size, with room for two weeks and the things you bring back.
How do the wheels and handles work?
Paired spinner wheels sit at every corner and turn through a full 360 degrees, so a loaded case tracks straight beside you instead of fighting your wrist. The telescoping handles use a damped soft-close mechanism, which stops the sharp metallic snap you get from an undamped handle.
